75 year old Fr. Miguel Pajares, the Spanish priest who was infected with the Ebola Virus in Liberia and was later flown back to his country has died this morning at Carlos III hospital, Madrid, Spain.
Fr. Pajares, was airlifted from Liberia on August 7 after contracting the disease while working for a non-governmental organization in Liberia.
The priest had started taking the experimental Ebola treatment drug, ZMapp. He is the first European to die from the dreaded disease. Spain’s Ministry of Heath have also confirmed his death. May his soul rest in Peace.
